A step-by-step guide on how to complete the KYC/AML process.

Customer support is a core value for Mandala and our team, so we’ve put together a list of Frequently Asked Questions and detailed answers — including screenshots of common issues. Achieving full compliance is our mission and we must ensure proper KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) policies and procedures are in place.

Please ensure that you are using the official Mandala link and dashboard site to participate in the crowdsale and complete your KYC verification! Carefully read the website url and make sure it is correct!

KYC/AML Guide

Please note: this process is required to withdraw your tokens. First you’ll need to create an account, login and click the “KYC/AML Verification” tab located on the left panel. Then proceed to the following steps:

1. If you agree to the Terms and Conditions, select both boxes and click proceed.

2. Select your country from the drop-down menu.

Please be advised: these countries currently cannot participate in the Crowdsale; United States (including US Territories — Guam, Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, Mariana Islands, American Samoa), China, North Korea, South Korea, Bolivia, Ecuador, Bangladesh, Iceland, Kyrgyzstan, Morocco, Nepal, Malaysia, Indonesia.

3. Select and upload your “Proof of Identity”.
This must be a Passport, ID Card, or Driver’s License. Make sure all four corners of the document are visible, that the words are clear, and be mindful of lighting. The document must be at least 500kb — the higher quality the better.

4. Upload a selfie with your “Proof of Identity”.
Make sure the photo is clearly visible and does not cover any part of your face. Our algorithm will compare your face in the selfie to your photo in the document. Again, be mindful of lighting, make sure all four corners of the document are visible, and that the words are clear and readable. Photo must also be 500kb or higher.

5. Upload your “Proof of address”.
Upload one of the following documents:

  • Bank statement (must be issued within the past 3 months)
  • Utility bill; such as internet, gas, electric, cable (must be issued within the past 3 months)
  • Tax return
  • Council tax bill
  • Government issued Certification of Residency

Please be advised: We cannot accept any screenshots as proof. Also, we cannot accept mobile phone bills, medical bills, credit card statements, receipts for purchases, or insurance statements. Lastly, do not alter any documents with any software editors.

6. Awaiting approval of your “Account Verification”.
Once all 3 documents are uploaded, the status of each document will read “pending”. From here, the process takes on average 1–3 minutes to complete, but in some cases can take up to 24hr. Refresh the page by clicking the “KYC/AML Verification” tab on the left-hand side.

FAQ and Solutions for KYC/AML:

1 Why is the proof of address section asking me for a different proof of address after I already submitted it?

Answer: Possibly due to a blurry photograph or vital information from the document was missing or cut-off. In this case you may need to re-take your photograph or upload a different “Proof of Address” listed below:

  • Bank statement (must be issued within the past 3 months)
  • Utility bill; such as internet, gas, electric, cable (must be issued within the past 3 months)
  • Tax return
  • Council tax bill
  • Government issued Certification of Residency

2 Can I use a bill in someone else’s name living at residence?

Answer: No, your name on your Proof of Address must match your name as it appears on your Proof of Identity. Try again and choose one of these following acceptable “Proof of Address” options:

  • Bank statement (must be issued within the past 3 months)
  • Utility bill; such as internet, gas, electric, cable (must be issued within the past 3 months)
  • Tax return
  • Council tax bill
  • Government issued Certification of Residency

3Why won’t the system accept my photographs?

Answer: When you upload your documents, please make sure that you are capturing all four corners and that the documents are easy to read. Do not upload screenshots, do not alter the photos with any software editors, and make sure the file size is larger than 500 kilobytes. Lastly, make sure the pictures are as high resolution as possible.

4Can I use my Proof of Identity as my proof of address since it has my address on it?

Answer: No, You must supply a separate Proof of Address that has the same name listed on your Proof of Identity. Try again and choose one of these following acceptable “Proof of Address” options:

  • Bank statement (must be issued within the past 3 months)
  • Utility bill; such as internet, gas, electric, cable (must be issued within the past 3 months)
  • Tax return
  • Council tax bill
  • Government issued Certification of Residency

5Why did my KYC/AML fail?

6 I contributed to the Mandala crowdsale but I didn’t pass (or won’t pass) the KYC/AML. What happens to my payment?

Answer: Any user that has contributed and failed the KYC/AML process will be given the opportunity to correct and re-submit proper documents. In the event you are unable to pass, you will be fully refunded.

7Why am I not allowed to upload another file for proof of address? The buttons will not work or accept my clicks.

Answer: This is a common browser-related issue. Please try an alternative browser, or re-try after clearing your cookies/cache.
